Set in the lush valley between Constantia Berg and Twelve Apostles Mountain, Houtkapperspoort offers self-catering cottages. Each cottage is made from Table Mountain stone and timber and features a veranda with barbecue.

Offering dark wooden furnishing, Houtkapperspoort's cottages are modern and painted in light colours. Well-equipped kitchens with under floor heating including a 4-plate stove and electric oven are fitted in the cottages. Most have air-conditioning and some feature fireplaces in the living area.

Guests can swim in the outdoor pool or play a game of tennis. At the nearby Cape Peninsula National Park guests can hike through mountain trails.

The centre of Cape Town is 15 minutes from Houtkapperspoort. Hout Bay beach is just 5 minutes away.

Directions from N7 and / or N1:

- From the N7, about 5km prior to reaching the N1, is the sign N1 City/Stad".
- Proceed until on top of the bridge. Change to the left lane and make a full circle down towards the N1 and continue towards Cape Town.
- At the Cape Town or Kaapstad 10km sign, change to the left lane.
- Follow the sign towards Muizenberg/M3 and join the left lane.
- Proceed to the top of the bridge and change to the left lane.
- Make a full circle down towards the N2.
- Change 1 lane to the right and continue in the direction of Cape Town.
- Continue on this road, under 3 bridges.
- Turn left on De Waal Drive, which becomes Rhodes Drive.
- Change 1 lane to the right, and turn right at the first set of traffic lights on Hout Bay/Kirstenbosch.
-Drive past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and at the T-junction turn right again.
- Follow this road uphill and downhill until the traffic circle at Constantia Nek.
- Go around the circle and follow downhill towards Hout Bay (M63)
- The entrance to Houtkapperspoort is about 200m down the road, first entrance on your right.

Directions from Cape Town International Airport:
- On exiting the airport grounds, follow the Cape Town signs.
- Drive over the bridge and immediately turn right onto the freeway (N2).
- Closer to Cape Town the road will start turning towards Table Mountain. You will drive over a bridge (the M5).
- Continue on this road, under 3 bridges.
- Turn left on De Waal Drive, which becomes Rhodes Drive.
- Change 1 lane to the right, and turn right at the first set of traffic lights on Hout Bay/Kirstenbosch.
-Drive past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and at the T-junction turn right again.
