Set within a restored manor house and former perfumery, dating back to 1890, Franschhoek Country House is situated within an hours drive of Cape Town, making it the perfect destination for those wanting to visit the Western Cape.

In the heart of the wine route, Franschhoek also offers plenty of activities for you to fill your days with, including wine-tasting on the local farms or in the neighbouring towns of Stellenbosch and Paarl.

Food & beverage
Rated as one of the best restaurants in Franschhoek, Monneaux serves contemporary cuisine in a relaxed setting. Room Types

The original Franschhoek Country House offers 14 well equipped rooms including 6 standard rooms, 5 luxury rooms and 2 cottages - all designed with your comfort in mind offering charming accommodation and expected services to invite you to relax and unwind. All en-suite rooms are individually appointed and have comfortable lush duvets with embroided percale cotton linen.

Garden Cottages
This large, double story cottage can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Downstairs there is a bedroom with en-suite shower and bath as well as a private patio with small garden. Upstairs there is a lounge with balcony with a view over the surrounding vineyards. The lounge is approximately 60m² in size

Luxury Room
Luxurious room with a lounge area in each room, a fireplace and tea and coffee making facilities. It is approximately 48m² in size and can accommodate 2 adults and one baby. Some rooms include a balcony. These rooms enjoy the views of the fountains and gardens of lavender.

Standard Deluxe Room
Located in the main homestead, this room has a private balcony and is approximately 35m² in size. All en-suite rooms have a small lounge area .

Villa Suites
These luxurious suites feature a large bedroom, an en-suite bathroom and a separate lounge with seating area. Facilities include an entertainment system, 2 balconies (or patios), separate air-conditioning for the bedroom and lounge, in-room dining and much more. This room can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. Supplement charges for additional guests are applicable and will be confirmed on the booking confirmation.
