Situated on a small game farm with sand forest vegetation, in the heart of Zululand, Emdoneni Lodge has spacious accommodation. It features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities.

Emdoneni Lodge has elegantly decorated chalets and cottages with traditional wooden furniture and private patios. All rooms include a tour to the cat project for interaction with tame cheetahs.

Guests can start their day with a breakfast buffet, before spending time with the cats. The lodge’s restaurant serves traditional South African cuisine for dinner and lunch on request.

You can enjoy the attractions of the area with an open vehicle game drive to the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserve. You can also choose from a variety of activities, including fishing, hiking and horse riding.

St. Lucia is a 30-minute drive away, and the lodge offers a selection of excursions, such as guided walking trails at Emdoneni, elephant educational tours and boat trips to Lake St Lucia.

Travel information
From Durban (approximately 2 hours by car):

- Take the N2 North, from Durban.
- Bypass Richards Bay and Mtubatuba.
- Approximately 38 km from Mtuba you will find the Bushlands turn-off on your left (sign-posted Emdoneni / Bushlands).
- Turn left off the N2 and follow the Emdoneni signs.
- Gate is around 500 metres from the N2 fly-over.
