Le Marais is an intimate guest house where the elegance of Paris meets the charm of Africa, in the small fishing village of Hout Bay, 20 minutes from Cape Town.
Having opened after renovation in August 2008, Le Marais offers 4 suites and an apartment, all decorated in slick, minimalist, yet warm style with a red theme.
Relax with a glass of wine in the stylish lounge or enjoy the solar-heated pool. The house is a replica of traditional Cape Dutch architecture with a thatched roof. It is situated in a secure area, with wonderful views of the rear of Table Mountain.
Hout Bay, surrounded by magnificent landscape, is one of the top big wave surfing spots in the world.
Food & beverageHealthy breakfast is served on the terrace or in the dining area, and a 3-course set dinner menu is available on request. Special events such as wine tasting are organised on a regular basis.

From Cape Town International Airport:
▪ Follow the N2 towards Cape Town, turn right toward Muizenberg (M3), then turn right at traffic light (M63) towards Hout bay.
▪ Follow the M63, about 2.5 km after Constantia Nek, turn left (just before Oakurst Farm Stall, a small shopping center with a Kwikspar), and follow the road up to a cul-de-sac (about 300m).
▪ Le Marais Guest House is the first house on the right.

60-m² apartment with a large bedroom with king-size bed, and a lounge with sleeping couch. Leads directly to the pool and has a private courtyard terrace.

Large bedroom (45 m²) with a mezzanine under the thatched roof. Spacious lounge with a free-standing bath, separate toilet and shower, and private courtyard terrace.
Rojo The Pop Suite
Large bedroom (40 m²) with original open shower and stunning views of the rear of Table Mountain.
Red, The Garden Suite
Large bedroom (40 m²) with original free-standing bath and vanity cabinet in the bedroom, and separate toilet and shower. Nice views of the garden and private courtyard terrace.
