Along with taking a dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, there are many things to do and see while staying at the 17 Palms. Guest can visit the Gateway Mall, sports clubs, casinos, Mangroves Nature Reserve and two world class golf course establishments that are nearby.
Within 10km, there are many other places to visit such as the Albert Lethuli Convention Centre, Kingsmead and Absa Stadium, exercise facilities, fishing and restaurants.

By car:
Follow the N2 southbound in the direction of Umhlanga/Durban.
- Take the Umhlanga/Mt Edgecombe off ramp (No182) and turn LEFT at the Traffic lights.(This is the M41) Continue straight ahead, following the signs to the M4.
- Once on the M4, take the Glenashley (Ann Arbor) turn-off.
- At the first stop directly from the off ramp, turn Right into Ypsilanti Avenue (going straight will take you to the beach) - Cross the next junction and 17 Palms, 23 Ypsilanti Avenue will be on your right.
